This weblog is intended to support the Tucson Trail Run Series. The Series was created by Ken Young in the late 1970s. These days, it ’s the cooperative effort of a number of Tucson area runners. We publish a run schedule every summer. Participants take turns directing the runs, which are conducted on public lands in the mountains around Tucson Arizona. They are low-key activities that conform to the Park and Forest Service guidelines for activities which don’t require special use permits. We use the Yahoo Group TTR_AZ to as an email discussion tool.
This blog, when fully built out, should provide us a more usable and flexible web presence. We’ll post routes, maps, interesting accounts of runs and related adventures, and useful information for runners. The focus should be on the trail run series and the activities of the participants. To participate, check out Join this blog.
A blog consists of Posts and Pages. The Pages are comparable to pages on a conventional web site. Notice the Page links like this one on the upper right side of the blog. The Posts are time-stamped entries in the body of the blog applied to various Categories by various authors. Blogs normally allow comments in response to the Posts and Pages–we’ll see how we handle those for this blog.
All TTRAZ members are encouraged to contribute to the blog. Help us out…
