Dire Threat

Humanity faces a dire threat. There is a sinister presence among us. It wants to convert the human race to a source of lean protein. It’s very important that those at risk stop running and start smoking (More on this at Signs of the Times). I’m Nash Wood, a recovered runner, and I want to help free others. I stumbled on the truth at the Pod Farm, and researched this on the Internet (So it must be true!).

Initially the Pod Slaves were hiding, but I befriended them. Here’s my initial view before they came out–

Once calmed, they were only too happy to tell their story. They had first encountered the Pods at a sculpture garden in St. Louis (This line of Pods can be seen clearly on Google Earth). The Pods seem to exert a form of mind control. They masquerade as artifacts of civilization, in this case ancient propane tanks. They even take on the odor of a propane tank. The Slaves, Gene and Jane, began to retreive the Pods in this area and provide them with a nesting site. Here’s a view of the nest–

One of the cover stories the Pods made the Slaves use is that the Pods make great bells. Here’s the Slave Gene standing with two of his Masters–

As soon as Gene began using the Pod as a pseudo-bell, the Black Helicopters started to circle us. I don’t quite understand their role. Ideas would be appreciated–

So what’s the life cycle of these creatures? Once in a nesting area, they begin to produce Control Larvae. Here’s a nest of those–

The Larvae are probably not exactly offspring, Rather, they’re a sophistocated mind control device. They resemble shoes and get distributed by other Slaves at stores. Once on the feet, they send out hyphae into the flesh of wearer and take over the mind. The victim starts running endlessly, taking on the lean body type preferred by the Pods. I realized the truth when I took off the shoes after running for over a day without pause and found my feet bloody from the hyphae. That’s when I started my research on the Web.
Now comes the truly sinister part of the plan. The Slaves run a “Nursery” where they raise other alien life forms, probably from the home planet of the Pods. Could this be anything from the Planet Earth?

The Slaves are decorating the Pods with pleasing aspects. They plan to sell the Pods as “Yard Art”. This is clearly a dissemination strategy. Once scattered throughout the city, they will begin feeding. Then they will mature into whatever the adult form is. Please, please if you have any information on the adult aliens, share it. Whatever you do, if you’re one of the lean ones they’re after, don’t put your hand, face, or any other body part into a pod mouth–

Once again, I implore you, stop running, gain weight and smoke, preferably unfiltered. You’ll thank me for saving your life!
